Adding to knowledge about primary care

When you are sick or grow older, you want to receive the help, care and support you need in your own familiar environment. This is the job of primary care. What do vulnerable people need? How can we organise it? What role can new technologies play? The reform of primary care in Flanders is providing a boost for research and development into multidisciplinary, targeted primary care.

The Dr. Daniël De Coninck Fund supports these developments by:

• initiating or supporting societally relevant research into the organisation and quality of care and welfare, with the emphasis on innovation;
• enlarging the capacity for research into primary care in universities and colleges;
• sharing and developing knowledge through training and learning networks.

The Fund insists on collaboration and synergy between research partners such as knowledge institutions, and other major players working on the ground.
